LANSING MI
AUGUST 1997
I am in the black Achieva SCX in the top underline, fourth from the
left.
This formation was more or less a last minute addition to the events
and
was an invitational to some of the parade cars. It was done
Thursday
morning. The first line in the "1" is all curve-dash cars! It was
quite a treat.
This could have been the first W-Machine: the Oldsmobile
Limited. Awesome!
This is a beautiful dual sidemount. Owner said he pulled it out of the woods about 9 years ago. Some woods!
Here's one of my friends: Doc Watson
And another one of my friends!
This is a very faithfully reproduced '67 Brainbeau Olds 442. I
spoke with Sam Murry who said this was a
tribute to Bob Anderson who with Woody Woodland and Sam
campaigned it in Stock Eliminator. In '66
with their Tri-Carbed '66 W-30 they set the track record and won
C/Stock class at the US Nationals
in Indianapolis.
My kind of muscle: 1966 442s!
