My Past Oldsmobiles!!

This was my very first Olds, a '66 442 Holiday Coupe. A 4-speed monster that (obviously from the picture) was far from stock! It was set up quite high on 15" ET mags, and Mickey Thompson N50-15 Indy Profiles on the rear! Picture was taken in 1975. It still survives and is in the hands of a fellow Olds enthusiast.

This was the first 442 I bought when I "got back into" Oldsmobiles in 1986: a '65 442 Holiday Coupe. I did a "street" restoration of an all original car. Also pictured here with the original owner, who I was able to find using the ProtectoPlate info. He was 60 years old when he bought the car brand new! He passed away in 1989.

This was my F-85 Deluxe 442. One of 178 factory L-69 F-85 Deluxes. Originally it's Target Red with a black interior. It has the 4-speed (mandatory with the Tri-Carb) with a bench seat (buckets were not available on the F-85), side-mount tach, and power antenna (more weight over the right rear!). I bought it at a swap meet; it was being offered for parts. I got to it 2 hours before it was to be disassembled and dispersed. Though needing ALOT of work, it was amazingly complete. Now owned by another Olds enthusiast and dubbed "The Beast", it is mid-restoration.

A '66 442, this is a Cutlass Sports Coupe, one of 3,787. Traded to my best friend to restore. Very original, the engine is the original (documented by the Protect-O-Plate) and was not overbored in the rebuild. It was originally Sierra Mist. Body side molding (missing in the picture) will be put back on, and SS1s will be put back on, as it originally came with them. It has the close ratio 4-speed, 3:90 Anti-Spin rear, and black bucket seat interior with a console.

A 1970 Toronado GT (W-34). Equipped with the W-34 package, it sported the original 400hp 455 with it's 400 TH trans. Acquired from the widow of the original owner in 1990, it wore the original Jade Green paint. It was very original and unmodified.

This car had been to Mondello's Olds Nats for a number of years since 1990, runner-up in Street Stock one year. It ran mid to low 15's. Not bad for 4600#! Stomp on it and the front tires will go up in smoke. Civilized power!

Unfortunately, after I sold it, the next owner had the mis-fortune of having someone running a stop sign in front of him, putting an end to the life of this classic Olds.

This is a '68 Cutlass Supreme I used as a daily driver for about a year in the early '90s.

This was a daily driver, a '90 Toronado Trofeo. A refined luxury ride, but handles surprising well: .84 Gs on the skid pad. This car will spoil you. The corporate 3.8 though not that powerful is quite adequate, smooth, and reliable. With all of the expected creature comforts, it also had an integral cell phone and the Visual Information Center which is essentially a touch screen tv monitor with ALOT of amazing info.

Last, but not least, and certainly not an Oldsmobile, is my first car: My Grandmother's 1955 Chevy.
