Following
are
my
Oldsmobiles.
Of course, there's a story behind them all, and I'm
including a brief description.
Total Jetstar 1 production for 1965 was
6,552. Target Red with white interior, this car is one
of the 233 4-speed cars. It also has a 3.23 locking
differential. It is documented right down to its wire
wheel covers by the original build sheet (in amazingly good
condition) and Protect-O-Plate.
This 442 came looking for me, a '67 442 4-Speed Convertible.
A very solid 65,000 mile beauty. It has been kept
virtually stock, and equipped as it came off the assembly
line. This is one fast car!
My '68 442. A documented 4-spd Holiday
Coupe, one of 9,433. 442
production peaked in
1968 with 36,587 produced. I
acquired this in 2013 in a trade
with a good
friend for my '66 442 Sports Coupe. Lightly
optioned, it came
with equipped
with A02
Tinted Windshield, D55 Console, G92
3.42 Axle
Package, J50
Power Brakes,
M20
4-spd Wide Ratio

Rally
Pac, U63 AM Radio,
and V01 HD Radiator.
It still displays a fair amount of original Ocean Turquoise paint and will keep its tired, worn, but original paint. The body build date of the 4th week July says this was one of the last '68 442s to roll off the line in Lansing. Sold new on 9/10/68 at Collins Oldsmobile in Indianapolis, IN. It sports the original engine, a correct M20 4-spd, and a correct 3.23 Anti-Spin rear. The SSI wheels are a recent addition. As for the license plate, yes, there is a doctor in the house!

Scary in the curves, its 190 hp (without turbo
& trouble) pulls .86 Gs on the skid pad. Remember,
handling is what distinguished the Olds musclecars from the
pack! I bought it new in '92 as
soon as they hit the showroom in April. Presently
~17,000 mi., garaged except for shows. Was a Centennial
Parade Car in Lansing at the 100th birthday party in Aug. '97.
The Olds 'carts:
That's it for my cars. I also collect
parts, literature, and reference material. I like to
research Oldsmobile facts and fiction. There's always
something new to learn!
